Hello, I have a question regarding the project's instructions.
It says we must build a two-stage amplifier, but I'm not sure about what is defined as a two-stage amplifier.
I am aware that it would be an amplifier that has a final gain found by the product of the gains of two stages (Av1 * Av2 = Av total); however, I am unsure whether the stages we learned in Chapter 10 (Differential Amplifier, Cascode Amplifier with Cascode Load, Differential Pair with Cascode, Differential Pair with Active Load, Telescopic Cascode, etc.) should be considered a single-stage or a two-stage.
In some sources, they say that these are two-stage amplifiers while in others, they are used as single-stage amplifiers in a complex circuit.
A clarification of this will help a lot.
Thank you.
